Part of my painting goal this year was to paint a vehicle and as yet I haven't accomplished this. Wanting to acheive this part of my yearly goal I assembled one of the House of Iron Outrider Quad from the Ash Waste corebox at the weekend. I went for the heavy bolter variant, with the driver shooting his bolt pistol. Following the instructions the model went together fairly easy, I kept the wheels seperate to make painting them easier. Of course I drilled the barrels of both the guns and the exhaust pipe on the quad. Fingers crossed the weather is still ok for rattle can priming outside, as it is beginning to get colder now. It's a little frustrating that although this model effectivly equates to 3 models (the rider, the gunner and the Quad) as far as my yearly model count goes it will only count as one as they all fit on the same base. Oh well.
